Ideocube

Privacy policy

Effective as of August 21, 2026.

This policy explains how Ideocube collects, uses, stores and protects data when the Site and its features are used.

Ideocube is designed so that the questionnaire can be completed without creating an account and without providing a name or email address. Answers may nevertheless reveal political opinions. They therefore benefit from enhanced protection and are processed only for the purposes set out below.

This policy should be read together with the terms and conditions.

1. Data collected

1.1 Questionnaire answers and Results

When the User completes the questionnaire, Ideocube processes in particular:

  • the answers selected;
  • the scores and indicators calculated;
  • the proximities with ideologies or political parties;
  • the statistical comparisons associated with the Result;
  • any Premium Features unlocked;
  • a random identifier used to retrieve the Result.

This information may reveal political opinions. It is considered sensitive where it can be linked, directly or indirectly, to an individual.

Ideocube does not ask for a name, an email address or the creation of an account to produce a Result. It does not use the IP address or a browser fingerprint to link the answers to the User’s identity.

A Result’s random identifier limits direct identification, but does not necessarily make the data anonymous. Anyone who has the link can potentially view the Result; the User should therefore keep it carefully.

1.2 Account and Premium access

No Account is needed to answer the questionnaire or view a Result. Before a purchase, or to access the Positions page and contribute to parties’ positions, the User creates or retrieves a password-free Account by verifying their email address with a temporary code.

  • the verified email address and the Account’s random identifier;
  • the customer reference created with Stripe;
  • the session data needed to keep the User signed in;
  • the number of credits purchased, used, refunded and available;
  • the contractual value assigned to successive activations;
  • the references of the unlocked Results;
  • the dates and times of credit-related operations;
  • the end date of the withdrawal period applicable to the order;
  • the date, time and version of the text accepted when requesting immediate performance;
  • proof of the affirmative action taken by the Customer.

This information is used to authenticate the Customer, group their orders, manage their balance, provide the Premium Activations requested, calculate any refund and keep proof of the choices made during the withdrawal period. It is not used to infer new information about the User’s political opinions.

The Account creates a link between the Customer’s email address, their purchases, the Results they choose to activate and, where applicable, their community contributions. Ideocube does not link free questionnaires or Results that have not been activated with credits to the Account.

Sign-in codes are not stored in plain text. Their technical hash expires after ten minutes, and expired requests are deleted after a short security period.

A Premium Result can be viewed without signing in by anyone who has its URL. This makes it possible to share it, but also means that the recipient of the link can view the political information it contains.

1.3 Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Ideocube does not receive the full card number.

The previously verified email address is associated with the Stripe customer and pre-filled during payment. Ideocube may also receive:

  • a transaction reference;
  • the amount, currency and status of the payment;
  • the offer purchased;
  • the information needed for fraud prevention, refunds and accounting obligations;
  • the amount requested, granted or refused in a withdrawal or refund, together with the status of the operation.

1.4 Community contributions

When a User suggests a correction, adds a justification, cites a source, votes on a contribution or reports it, Ideocube processes the content submitted, the date of the action, their Account identifier and the technical identifiers strictly necessary for recording it, moderating it and preventing abuse.

Links cited as sources undergo an automated security analysis. For this purpose, the link address may be sent to a third-party malicious-site detection service, without any Account-related data.

These contributions must not contain unnecessary personal information about the User or a third party.

1.5 Contact form

When someone contacts Ideocube, the data processed may include their email address, the subject of their request, their message, any attachments and the information needed to reply to them.

1.6 Contact requests, complaints and withdrawals

When someone contacts Ideocube, makes a complaint or uses the withdrawal function, the data processed may include:

  • their first and last name where needed to identify the order;
  • their email address or the electronic means chosen to receive the acknowledgment of receipt;
  • the order reference or other details used to identify the contract;
  • the subject, date, time and content of the request;
  • the number of credits used and available at the time of the request;
  • the amount calculated and the status of the refund;
  • any exchanges, supporting documents and attachments sent in order to process the request.

Ideocube uses this information to identify the order, process the request, make any refund due, send the acknowledgment of receipt and keep proof that it has met its obligations.

2. Why this data is used

Technical logsOperation, diagnostics, attack prevention and incident investigationLegitimate interest in securing the ServiceNormally thirty days, unless an incident requires longer retention

These periods may be extended where justified by a legal obligation, a dispute, fraud or a security incident. The data is then deleted or anonymized.

3. Data revealing political opinions

The very purpose of Ideocube involves analyzing answers that may reveal political or philosophical opinions.

Where these answers constitute sensitive personal data, their processing is based on the User’s explicit consent. This consent must be obtained separately before the questionnaire is processed and does not result from the mere acceptance of the terms and conditions.

The User may refuse this processing, in which case Ideocube cannot calculate their Result. They may withdraw their consent at a later date and request the deletion of their Result. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the request.

Ideocube does not use the answers:

  • to display targeted political advertising;
  • to build a named register of political opinions;
  • to sell or rent political profiles;
  • to identify the User from their IP address or browser;
  • to make a decision producing legal effects concerning them.

4. Community statistics and anonymization

Ideocube may use answers and scores to produce overall statistics, for example an average, a median, a distribution or the position of a Result among participants.

Public statistics are presented in aggregated form and must not make it possible to single out an individual’s answers. Minimum thresholds or other measures may be applied when the number of participants is too low.

Data associated only with a random identifier remains pseudonymized and is still protected as personal data. Only statistics that have been genuinely anonymized, meaning that they can no longer reasonably be used to identify an individual, may be kept without being linked to the original Result.

A deletion request results in the deletion or dissociation of the identifiable Result. It does not necessarily make it possible to remove a contribution already included in overall statistics that have become anonymous.

5. Artificial intelligence

Where an AI Analysis or another feature requires it, Ideocube may send an artificial intelligence provider, in particular OpenAI, the answers, scores or instructions strictly necessary to produce the content requested.

Ideocube does not send this provider the User’s name, postal address, full payment details or email address together with their political answers, unless this is clearly announced and consented to.

Generated content may be inaccurate. It is used to provide the Service requested and not to make any legal or administrative decision concerning the User.

6. Cookies and local storage

Ideocube may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage mechanisms, in particular to:

  • keep the Account session active and protect requests against forgery;
  • remember essential interface preferences;
  • secure browsing and the payment process;
  • remember choices relating to trackers.

These mechanisms are not used to track the User on other websites or to create an advertising fingerprint.

If Ideocube later introduces audience measurement, advertising or other non-essential trackers, they will be presented separately and subject to consent where required. The User will be able to change their choice at any time.

Deleting browser cookies ends the local session, without deleting the Account, orders, credits or Results stored on Ideocube’s servers. The User can sign in again with an email code at any time.

7. Recipients and service providers

Data is only accessible to the people and service providers who need it to provide, secure or administer the Service, in particular:

  • Hosting and infrastructure: Contabo GmbH
  • Payments and refunds: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.
  • Artificial intelligence: OpenAI OpCo, LLC
  • Transactional emails: Brevo, in particular for order, activation and withdrawal confirmations
  • Support: Requests are stored directly on Ideocube’s infrastructure, with no external support provider
  • Audience measurement: No audience measurement tool.

These providers process the data within the limits of their tasks and the applicable contractual terms.

Ideocube does not sell or rent personal data, questionnaire answers or political profiles.

Information may also be disclosed:

  • where required by a legal obligation or a valid request from an authority;
  • to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • to protect the safety of Users, the Service or third parties;
  • as part of a reorganization or transfer of the business, with appropriate safeguards.

8. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the User’s country or the European Economic Area.

Where required by law, these transfers are based on a recognized mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, appropriate contractual clauses or another valid safeguard. Further information can be requested from the data controller.

9. Security

Ideocube implements reasonable measures suited to the nature of the data, in particular access restrictions, encryption of communications, separation of information where possible, security logging and keeping technical components up to date.

However, no system can guarantee absolute security. The Customer must protect access to their email inbox and their session. Result links should be shared with care, as they remain viewable without authentication.

10. Users’ rights

Depending on the applicable regulations, the User may request:

  • access to their data;
  • its rectification;
  • its erasure;
  • the restriction of its processing;
  • its portability where this right applies;
  • the withdrawal of their consent;
  • to object to processing based on legitimate interest.

As Ideocube does not ask for an Account or any identity to create a free Result, the Operator may need the link to that Result. For purchases and Premium Activations, signing in to the Account or providing the order reference makes it possible to identify the data concerned. No more information will be requested than is necessary to verify the legitimacy of the request.

Requests can be sent to support@ideocube.com or using the contact form. A response will be provided within the applicable time limit.

The User may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in their country.

11. Minors

Ideocube is not specifically intended for children. Where a User is not old enough to consent on their own to the processing of their data in their country, the permission of their legal guardian is required.

If Ideocube learns that data has been provided without the required permission, it may be deleted. Any such situation can be reported from the Support page.

12. External links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. These third parties apply their own privacy policies and Ideocube is not responsible for their practices.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Service, its service providers or the applicable rules.

The new version is published on this page with its update date. Where a change substantially affects the processing of sensitive data or the consent given, new information may be provided or new consent requested before it takes effect.
